Mali Missions Projects 2009
We have several congregations that desperately need a roof over their heads. We urgently need five “tabernacle” prefab structures to be constructed and put in place in 2009. Each one costs $4,000.
We have new churches that are still in need of walls. We are trusting the Lord to provide us for five of these new churches (in Bakojikoroni, Heramakono, Loulouni, Sirakoroba, and Tienfala) in 2009. Each will cost $6,000.
We need help with a strategic property purchase for a youth center in Bamako, the capital city. We have already raised $30,000, but we still need the remaining $35,000 for a centrally located lot before it’s off the market.
Timbuktu church & Timbuktu Christian elementary school:
- $5,000 to put in the church floor and finish the building.
- Eight school classrooms are up but need finishing at $1,500 each.
In a country where reaching Muslims with traditional open-air evangelism is difficult, we use life-impacting outreaches such as literacy programs, famine & medical relief, Christian schools, water wells in arid areas, and self-sufficiency projects. We urgent need more water wells, and equipment for a self-sufficiency agricultural project that will double as a school (helping people to help themselves out of the generational poverty cycle) in Waramajanna:
- We need help with three water wells in 2009, costing each $15,000.
- We need the following equipment to be donated for the Waramajanna project (listed by priority):
- A medium-sized tractor with a plow.
- A diesel motor water pump for irrigation purposes.
- A diesel generator.
- A chainsaw.
- A small-sized chipping/mulching machine or a shredding-mulcher that attaches to a tractor.
- Solar panels of any size and wattage.
